I'm Jude Kriwald and on June 16th 2012 I set off on a 10,000+ mile journey from busy Yeovil to beautiful India, passing through 18 countries over approximately 10 months!
Why? Firstly, I should clarify that I've never done anything like this before. I once cycled 30 miles to the Isle of Wight ferry, but only to save money. This is to raise money, and for a really worthy cause; St. Margaret's Hospice. There are many easier ways to fundraise than to cycle across two continents but few will provide as much of a challenge and a sense of achievement upon completion. I hope that the copious amount of effort required to cycle 70 miles a day and camp out in the wild every night will inspire people to donate!
I'm aiming to raise £25,000 for St. Margaret's Hospice in Somerset, a charity committed to providing specialist palliative care, advice, support and respite to those, and their families, who have a terminal or life-limiting illness, for example cancer, motor neurone disease and chronic lung disease.
